Project Number and Budget Statistics
Universities and other academic institutions carry out all the activities they implement to realise their scientific activities in specific fields (priority or general) in the most organised way through projects created within the framework of appropriate rules. Scientific projects can be supported by the institutions’ resources within the scope of the Scientific Research Projects Office, which carries out its activities within the scope of the Higher Education Council Law No. 2547. However, there are also project supports provided by national public institutions such as TUBITAK, TÜSEB, and KOSGEB, which have higher budgets and can address vast research areas and offer comprehensive support, or by funding organisations such as “European Union Horizon”, which periodically provides international project support in different thematic calls.
At İzmir Bakırçay University, the call periods, pre- and post-acceptance studies and statistical controls such as the number of projects and the total budget of the projects are monitored by the experts of the Scientific Research Projects Coordinators and periodically submitted to the relevant units/institutions. These data are also published regularly on the ADA Coordinators website, where comparative statistics of internal and external projects are presented numerically and visually.
